Distinctive wallpaper murals with herons in a chai tone

The Garzas Chai mural belongs to Random Chinoiseries, the collection in which Coordonné enters the oriental imaginary: fantasy landscapes, extraordinary birds and mountains rising in the background. Here the herons take the lead, drawn with the long line and the pause that characterise chinoiserie, on a chai ground — a warm beige with a tea base — that keeps the whole scene at a single temperature.

That ground is the key to the mural. Chai is a neutral, but not a cold one: it has enough yellow to brighten the wall and enough brown not to dazzle. Garzas Chai is therefore one of the catalogue's easiest distinctive wallpaper murals to live with: it does not impose a palette on the room, it adapts to the one already there, and it works just as well in a bedroom as in a dining room or a hallway.

Two versions: non-woven paper or vinyl

Garzas Chai comes in two qualities at different prices. The non-woven paper, at 150 g/m², is matt with a smooth texture: the most natural option to the touch and the usual choice for bedrooms and living rooms. The vinyl, at 380 g/m², is semi-matt with an irregular canvas texture: thicker, more resistant to rubbing and washable, the sensible choice for corridors and homes with a lot of traffic.

Cleaning also changes with the version: the non-woven paper is dusted dry with a cloth or feather duster, without wetting or rubbing it; the vinyl takes a damp cloth with water and neutral soap, without rubbing hard. In both, the standard format is 400×280 cm in 50 cm panels — eight panels — and it can be made to measure if the wall calls for it.

For walls that want calm and a touch of the exotic

In short, the Garzas Chai mural is for anyone who wants a wall with a story but without stridency. The herons bring the narrative and the chai makes sure the whole thing stays in a low voice.

To reinforce that calm, finish the setting with some decorative cushions in beige and mustard that pick up the tones of the mural.
