Ría Coffee Table · ceramic and ash

A coffee table with a marble-look ceramic top for a serene living room

The top is sintered stone 12 mm thick with a marble finish: a white ground crossed by veining in brown and violet tones. The tones and patterns of the material change from one piece to another, so the pattern of every table is different. Care comes down to wiping it with a dry cloth.

The form is semi-oval and measures 120 × 65 cm: an elongated footprint with soft corners that follows the line of a sofa without blocking the way around it. The 35 cm of height leave it below the seat, at the comfortable level for resting a tray. Underneath, two cylindrical pieces of MDF board faced in ash wood in a natural tone hold up the top: their thick section carries the design and the wood takes visual weight off the ceramic.

It is 33.2 kg between top and bases, and arrives flat-packed to be assembled at home. A piece for indoor use, comfortable in living rooms that already have light woods and plain upholstery.

It can be compared with the rest of the catalogue's designer coffee tables.
