Kurten Coffee Table

A two-tone coffee table in wood and ceramic in a small format

The two-tone beige and brown version sets up a gentle visual game: two close tones, with no hard contrast, which let you place the piece in an already decorated living room without having to recompose anything around it. It is an easy table to integrate, and that is where its real usefulness lies.

It combines MDF board and ceramic, two materials with different behaviours: the ceramic brings a hard, stable surface, and the wood the body and the warmth of the whole. The result is a versatile piece, as valid in a home as in a hospitality or office project, where the furniture has to take more traffic.

The proportions are the most characteristic thing. The small one measures 76 × 55 cm in plan and 50 cm high; the large one, 146 × 66 cm at 41 cm high, for a living room where the table has to fill the space in front of the sofa. It takes up little floor and sits high, so it works as a coffee table in a small living room, but also as a support table beside a sofa with a high seat or between two armchairs. It weighs 24.65 kg, enough not to move when you lean on it.
