Modern wooden coffee tables: walnut and iron in balance

The Kexby coffee table works with the classic combination of wood and metal reinterpreted in a contemporary key. The walnut veneer brings the warmth, the texture and the organic character only wood can give. The iron adds precision, solidity and a point of contemporary feel that keeps the piece from drifting towards the classical or the rustic. Together, they create one of the collection's modern wooden coffee tables with the finest balance between tradition and the present.

Walnut is one of the most valued woods in quality cabinetmaking. Its dark grain and warm tones — which run from mid brown to almost black in the densest areas — have a visual depth few woods match. Walnut veneer also lets that material be distributed efficiently, guaranteeing that the surface of the table shows the continuity of the grain without interruptions.

Iron as the detail that makes the difference

The iron details on the Kexby are not merely decorative: they reinforce the structural joints and add stability to a piece that would otherwise depend on the wood alone. The Kexby is therefore as solid as it is beautiful, a combination that is not always easy to achieve in designer coffee tables. The iron in a dark finish also converses visually with the more intense tones of the walnut, creating a coherent internal palette that unifies the whole.

Its dimensions of 80×80×38 cm give it a square, well-proportioned scale for the centre of medium-sized living rooms. The height of 38 cm places it at the standard point of use for conventional sofas, without being too low or too high. Its square surface of 80 cm, on the other hand, offers enough space for everyday use without coming to dominate the space visually.

For living rooms that commit to quality wood

In short, the Kexby is for those who understand that walnut wood is an investment that improves with time. One of the most solid and timeless modern wooden coffee tables in the collection, for spaces that value the authenticity of natural materials and the solidity of the construction.

To enhance its warmth, combine it with one of our modern living-room rugs in earth tones that reinforce the warm palette of the walnut.
