A modern coffee table with roots in art deco

The Breil coffee table borrows the language of art deco — precise geometry, the contrast of noble materials, symmetry with character — and translates it into the vocabulary of contemporary design. The result is a piece with the aesthetic solidity of the styles that have passed the test of time and the formal lightness of the best current designs. It is therefore a modern coffee table in the fullest sense: new in its execution and timeless in its spirit.

The white marble top is the lead element of the piece. Its veining in grey tones creates a natural pattern that changes with the angle of view and the light of the room, adding a dynamic dimension to an apparently static piece. The variations between pieces, proper to the nature of marble, also guarantee that no Breil is exactly like another, adding a value of singularity that synthetic materials cannot offer.

Black plywood: the base that anchors the piece

The plywood base in black acts as a precise counterpoint to the white of the marble. Its geometry — of art deco inspiration, with lines that create rhythm and direction — is elaborate enough to bring character without competing with the marble. The Breil therefore has a clear visual hierarchy: the marble leads, the base supports, and the whole converses with harmony and sophistication.

The handcrafted making of the piece is apparent in the precision of the joinery and the quality of the finish. It is not a mass-produced table: it is a piece that takes time and skill, and that shows both in the visual result and in the sense of solidity and permanence it conveys.

For living rooms that want marble as the focal point

Its dimensions of Ø93×32 cm give it a scale suited to the centre of the living room, with a round support surface of 93 cm in diameter that is generous without being excessive. The height of 32 cm, on the other hand, is deliberately low, favouring the sense of spaciousness and the visibility of the marble from any point in the room. In short, the Breil is for those who understand that marble in the home is always a good decision.

To complete the space, combine it with one of our designer wall lights in black or gold that reinforce the sophisticated palette of the whole.
