A round microcement dining table in off-white for a generous space

The material is microcement with fibreglass. The microcement gives a mineral, matt finish with a closed feel, with no joints or veneers that could lift over the years; the fibreglass works inside as reinforcement for the volume. The colour is off-white with an aged finish: a warm, uneven white that does not read as a painted surface but as worked stone.

The top is circular, 150 cm in diameter, and rests on three legs: two shaped like pillars of rectangular section and a third cylindrical one. That uneven distribution gives it the air of a constructed piece rather than a piece of furniture, and leaves wide gaps for the chairs to go in. Being round, there are no heads of table: nobody is left at one end and every place is worth the same.

At 150 cm in diameter and 75 cm high it calls for a real dining room, with a clear step all around. Round, it takes up less corner than a rectangular table of the same size, so it goes further in square living rooms and in large kitchens open to the living room. It weighs 81.1 kg and requires assembly, so it is worth deciding where it goes before putting it together.
