A round white porcelain table with a cylindrical base and an art deco air

The top is circular, 150 cm across, and rests on a central cylindrical base. There are no legs around the perimeter, so chairs can be placed at any point on the edge and nobody runs into a support under the table. The language is art deco in its pared-back version: emphatic volumes, simple geometry and a gold trim that cuts the white.

The top is porcelain, a compact material that does not absorb liquids and is cleaned with a cloth. The piece is held up by steel, and that is where its 95 kg come from: a table you place once and that stays put. The white keeps the dining room bright even though the volume is large, and the cylindrical base concentrates all the mass in the centre.

At 150 cm in diameter and 76 cm high it calls for a room where at least one step stays free all around the edge; in a square floor plan it looks better than pushed against the wall. It arrives in two packages, base and top separately, and requires assembly.

It is part of the shop's selection of dining tables.
