Armchair in Green Velvet

A plump green velvet armchair for the resting corner

From the front it is an almost perfect square: 95 cm wide, 95 deep and 91 high, with back and arms at the same height and a clearly plump look. That volume is what defines the piece, so it is worth measuring the space first: it takes up room like a living-room armchair, not like an occasional chair.

The upholstery is a polyester velvet in dark green, a short-pile fabric that changes tone with the light and marks the relief of the seams. The seat carries 32 kg/m³ polyurethane foam and the back a polystyrene fibre filling, so the support is firm below and soft above. Inside, a solid reclaimed pine frame. Care is professional cleaning only, as is usual with velvet.

The lacquered metal legs in matt black lift the volume off the floor and take away its heaviness. It requires assembly, weighs 27 kg and with a 45 cm seat height it fits in a living room, in a generous bedroom or in a waiting area. It is in the designer armchairs category.
