Square Armchair in Beige Melange

A square armchair in beige melange for a neutral living room

It is an armchair for relaxing, not for perching: 95 cm wide, 95 deep and 91 high, with the back and arms at the same height. It calls for a living room with square metres or a generous bedroom, where it can sit still next to a side table and a floor lamp.

The melange mixes beige tones with subtle strokes of dark grey, so from a distance it reads as a warm, plain fabric and up close the grain appears. It is the kind of upholstery that competes with nothing: light woods, greys and the patterns of cushions and curtains all live well with it. The fabric combines polyester and acrylic, a blend that stands up to the rub of daily use.

Under the upholstery there is a solid reclaimed pine frame, 32 kg/m³ polyurethane foam in the seat and polystyrene fibre in the back: firm when you sit down, soft when you lean back. The legs are lacquered metal in matt black. It requires assembly, weighs 27 kg and the seat sits at 45 cm. There are more models in designer armchairs.
