Verona Sideboard

A fluted front and four doors in a dining-room sideboard

The front is fluted: a succession of vertical half-rounds in dark-toned MDF that casts its own shadow and changes with the light it receives. Above it, a synthetic marble top in beige cuts the composition and lightens it from the top. The texture does all the decorative work and the lines stay clean, with no added mouldings.

At 180 × 40 × 85 cm it is a full-wall sideboard, and its 98.75 kg confirm that this is not an occasional piece. The top, at 85 cm, is high and comfortable for serving standing up. It requires assembly, with the fittings included, and the top board comes apart so it can be handled separately.

Inside there are four doors and two compartments of 64 × 36 × 75 cm, divided by two fixed shelves. With 36.5 cm of clear height between shelves, plates fit standing up, as do tall jugs and bottles without laying them down, something a sideboard with tighter divisions does not allow. Each shelf takes 10 kg and the unit holds 50 kg. Care is a damp cloth with warm water and neutral soap, drying completely afterwards.

A good fit for contemporary dining rooms and for straight-lined living rooms that can take a pronounced texture. The full catalogue is in sideboards.
