Fismes Sideboard

A 170 cm sideboard with a carved front and four doors

The carved front is the argument of this piece. The brown mango wood is worked in relief, so the piece changes appearance depending on where the light comes from: strongly marked in side light, almost flat head-on. It needs no colour or showy fittings to stand out, and that makes it easy to combine in a room that already has several materials on view.

Inside there are four doors, two compartments of 75 × 34 × 58 cm and two fixed shelves with 30 cm of clearance. Those 30 cm take plates standing in a rack, jugs and medium storage boxes. Each shelf carries 10 kg and the unit holds 60 kg. The wall anchor is not included, so it has to be planned separately if you want to fix it.

At 170 cm wide it is a little more contained than a full-wall sideboard, a useful size in dining rooms where you have to leave a way past on one side. The depth is 40 cm and the height 80, with the top just above the plane of the table. It weighs 47.8 kg, requires assembly and the legs come off.

A good choice for medium dining rooms, wide hallways or a living room that needs storage with some texture. It can be seen alongside the rest of our sideboards.
